Tibetan Heart Yoga
The Three Jewels is the home of Tibetan Heart Yoga in New York City. Tibetan Heart Yoga developed over the centuries in the Gelukpa traditions of the Dalai Lamas. Geshe Michael Roach has created a unique program for yoga on the physical and spiritual levels. Tibetan Heart Yoga presented at the Three Jewels combines familiar yoga exercises with special Tibetan poses and methods of working from the inside to create a healthy and happy heart.

"The ancient art of yoga came to Tibet from its birthplace in India over a thousand years ago. It quickly became very popular, and wonderful systems for its practice sprang up like mushrooms all over the country. Tibetan Heart Yoga belongs the tradition of the Dalai Lamas of Tibet.

Tibetan Heart Yoga works on your heart in two ways: It makes your physical heart and your body healthy and strong, and it opens your heart to love others. And of course the first always comes from the second." - from The Tibetan Book of Yoga by Geshe Michael Roach

New Teachers are Sharing
Their Lineage at Three Jewels
Three Jewels Yoga Center is honored to welcome into our growing community four very special Yoga teachers from Dharma Yoga Center.

They bring with them the special high teachings of their guru, Sri Dharma Mittra. Yogi Dharma Mittra embodies and imparts the Dharma (one's duty) and the virtues of Yoga: kindness, patience, humility, fortitude, righteousness, humor, selfless service, Ahimsa (non-killing) and unlimited love, compassion and understanding for all.

These teachings add to the beautiful integration of Yoga and Buddhism that Geshe Michael Roach and Christie McNally have been helping to spread around the world.

The Three Jewels Yoga Program is dedicated to teachings students the higher practice of yoga, Taking Care of Others. In each class, you will study the inner winds, taking note of the subtle changes in your body

and mind.
